China's World Domination

Went out today with mik and claire... the 3rd wheel and referee of the 2. we went to world trade center in roxas to take a peak at China's Electronics and Machineries Trade Show. WOW. all i can say is WOW. Their development is faster than what everyone thinks. Smart of them to start industrializing their country first. Building infrastructure such as shanghai, beijing, guandong, xiamen, and Shenzen. They started out with basic needs of a country, food jobs and life. now their out to get the world through their products. They allowed their country to be used but invested wisely. They are still the number one cheapest labor in the world but they didn't stop at that. They continually learn and never slacked of with technology.

I was there at the trade show and i thought what i would see was something 2nd rate or not even at par with what korea has to offer. to my surprise... they are all looking for distrubutors in this country... all of them were. Products ranging from household, professional equipment, large LED panel displays, packaging machines, electronics... its always just the communication barrier when trying to communicate with them. as u all know i am chinese but i don't speak fluently anymore. looking back a few years, we were the ones, we have always been one of the proud countries, but seems like we are just left with being proud and nothing to back it up with. Corruption, Greed and Laziness outgrew our country.

How can we compete when all we can do now is import their goods. zero manufacturing means zero industry... what we only have is our call centers now. but when the time comes that china learns to speak English, then we are screwed. They always have a surplus for labor, so soon enough if we don't do something about it. even the most basic job that is a call center will be lost from us and all the heads of this country will be off and running to another country...

Sad Manila, Sad Philippines, Happy People. 2nd most Happy people in the world. but do we really know what we are happy about.
