When Shit Hits the Fan

ok, my gf has a very happy blog, one that would make her smile everyday. believe me i try my best to smile everyday. Today, i woke up to a phone call from jenny saying that the embassy emailed her, that i did not put any contact information in my form. So, that was a shock, and in turn hassled me to produce another certificate for the embassy, Type it, Fax it, Email it. When what I was really set up to do is to go get my plane tickets for both flights NZ and Davao. I had 3 meetings booked for the day. Crap. I was late for all 3. One; the damned traffic, Two; people falling inline just to inquire on Airphil, Three; She had to count all 100 pcs of 500 peso bills and shine it over the blacklight, ONE BY ONE. So, nothing we can do about that, I rushed to Megamall to meet with a friend who was willing to help with the film, so i was late 1 hr, and he only had 10 mins left of his time. but the meet up was good he gave me good rates for his HD cam. So wave goodbye, hand in my pocket reaching for the cellfone, Calling Guada...

Guada, where are we meeting? Cubao X, Shakey's. Oks. So, i headed out to Cubao Araneta Center ate bunch of lunch and sat there to wait for Guada, when i realized i forgot to bring the pictures we needed to talk about. Crap, so draw it darwin, yes i drew it. crap. Then she had to go, long day i was tired, rested. I chilled on the net, checking all sorts of stuff for the film while waiting for the text. "the TEXT". I waited for 5 hrs past 24 hrs as promised. then it came. sorry to tell you Darwin, your perfect talent for your film is regretfully telling you, next time nalang.

PAKSHET of a DAY!!!!!

Hi babe! i just can't smile yet.

My name is...

My name is Ave Jennifer Ann. My sister's name is Ave Jasmine Ann. Maybe it's quite confusing but I don't get it why they would mix it up when it was clearly written as JENNIFER not JASMINE and vice-versa.

Case 1. Both my sister and I have the same bank. Back then, suddenly there was a mix up of our accounts. My account also became my sister's account. Good thing though I didn't get her account or I would have been broke. Hahaha!! It was sorted out but still, it was stupid on the bank's part to get it mixed up.

Case 2: I keep getting letters that I should register as a voter in the NZ Elections. I wasn't doing it until I got a letter that I really should register or else I would be fined for a few hundred dollars. So I did. I signed the form with my name Ave JENNIFER Ann. After a week, I got a confirmation letter that I'm now enrolled as an elector, but would you know it, my name on the letter is Ave JASMINE Ann. Now I keep thinking back over and over if I put JASMINE instead of JENNIFER but I'm 100% sure I would've put in JENNIFER because that is my name after all. So now I'm sending back a letter saying they got my details wrong.

I don't know what my parents were thinking in naming me and my other sister almost the same! Maybe they wanted another ME. Lol.

Another thing is, it's a hassle having long names here in the Western world. I guess I should blame it for being Filipino. Filipino parents love to name their children long names. The mom and dad can't agree on what to name their child so they put together what both of them want resulting in 2 up to 4 FIRST names and in my case 3 first names.

When I sign up for something (banks, etc.) they assume that AVE is my first name and JENNIFER is my middle name. Every time I would explain that all AVE JENNIFER ANN are my first names. I'm thinking of dropping the AVE and ANN in my official document but maybe I'll wait when I get married para isang gastos na lang sa lawyer, name registry, or whatever kung san nagpapapalit ng pangalan.

What I eat pag tamad ako magluto (most of the time)

Tada! Luto ng kanin sa rice cooker, put a bunch of siomai in the steamer and there I have a meal. By the way the siomai comes in a big bag that's ready to cook na. Reminded me of the days when you and I will go to the school cafeteria and some mall's food court and just eat lots and lots of siomais =)

Christina Aguilera is coming to New Zealand!!

Tickets will go on sale on May 2. Hmmmm..... Me and my sister love Christina but she loves her more coz I'm a Britney fan but I love them both!! Kinda sucks that all the cool artists have their concert in Auckland (like U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers) while Wellington is stuck with artists who made it big when I wasn't even born yet.

Browsing through the website, I found out that Gwen Stefani will have a concert here too, part of The Sweet Escape Tour. Christina or Gwen??? Hmmmmmm.... I wish I'll win the lotto tomorrow so I can go to both concerts.

I think I have a big head

This is the Nth headset/headphones that I've broken. I know you'll get mad but maybe I need those sophisticated headset that cost $100 and above. You know, the one that's not foldable and has a big thick headband...

Virginia Tech shooting

Random act of shooting? Lovers quarrel? Act of terrorism? Whatever it is, it's really, really sad that things like this happen. Who's to blame? The family? The ex-girlfriend? The person/shop that sold him the gun? The school? The US government? I now pity Koreans in the US and I guess Asians in general (as earlier reports said that the killer was a Chinese national). They're now going to be the new target of hate crimes and racism. Like when the 9/11 happened and Muslims around the world became a target. It's terribly awful that a whole race will pay the price of one person's horrible, evil act.
