iS iT cOoL to wRiTe liKe tHiS?

We've all seen wRiTing liKe tHis - on text messages, Friendster and My Space profiles, YM status messages, forum boards, and on blogs. I don't understand why people would make double effort typing mESsAgeS liKe tHiS instead of typing it straight (or is there a program/software for doing such?). Instead of me wanting to read what they have to say, I just close the page because really, it's a sore to the eyes reading stuff when it's written tHiS wAy. So tell me - iS iT cOoL to wRiTe liKe tHiS? Most of the time I come across blogs criticizing other bloggers for writing in wrong grammar and spelling (and in taglish even). I guess that's their pet peeve when it comes to blogs but for me, my pet peeve is people who write liKe tHis.
